The Florence Stitchers get together on Thursday afternoons to sew quilts for the homeless in Ontario, hats and mittens for Chatham-Kent shelters, clothing for Caribbean children, and these colourful pneumonia vests for African hospital patients. St Matthew's Winter Blahs luncheons in Florence attract a crowd once a month in the Blah months to enjoy a hot meal and some card or board games. It is like a Toronto Board Game Café, only cooler... Next one is March 20!
