St Matthew's, Florence, is in the process of working with the St Clair Region Conservation Authority and local wetlands owner Gary Eagleson to move a nest of Eastern Milk Snakes. Eastern Milks are Species At Risk, so although excited (okay, and startled) to find them in the entry and cellar, the human congregation is not prepared to abandon the building to them just yet. Gary and the Authority are helping with the relocating. The webmaster is sparing you a photo on this page, but if you would like one, just comment below with contact information. Happy to send it.

The 2016 update is that all is well. Snakes are a "better mouse trap" and took care of our mice before hitting the road. It was a fond farewell.
